Welcome to my website!
I am Kaipeng Li (李恺鹏 in Chinese), a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Rice University. I have been working with Prof. Joseph Cavallaro in Rice Center for Multimedia Communications since 2013. My research interests include low-complexity algorithms based on numerical linear algebra and convex optimization for efficient statistical signal processing, and high performance implementation of those algorithms on parallel processors, such as multi-core CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs and Xeon Phi processors, scaling from embedded platforms up to HPC clusters. I have also completed several research projects focusing on cutting-edge deep learning and computer vision algorithms and applications during my industry internships at Google, Baidu USA, and IBM research. Before I joined Rice, I got my B.S. degree in School of Physics from Nanjing University, China in 2013.
